POSITION OVERVIEW
The Internal Medicine Consultant provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care to adult patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role requires clinical excellence, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to evidence-based medicine. The physician will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients in outpatient, inpatient, or combined settings (depending on practice model).
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and complex medical conditions.
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
Perform routine procedures as appropriate to internal medicine practice.
Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Provide follow-up care and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
Eligibility for licensure through the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Experience in outpatient primary care, hospital medicine, or both.
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
